THE CEO OF HOT MOMS // MATERNITY BOUDOIR at 35 WEEKS // SHOT BY SAVANNAH GRIMM

When I was pregnant with my son [literally nine years ago] — and honestly ever since — I’ve struggled and fought against the idea that mothers are not supposed to acknowledge sex or own their sensuality. As a resident of the southern United States, I was raised around a belief system that basically mandates once you’re a mom, hOw ThAt BaBy GoT hErE is never, ever to be so much as hinted at, let alone spoken of. Mom’s are not supposed to be sexy. It’s just not proper.

And, well… respectfully: screw every single bit of that :-)
I refuse to accept or abide by such an archaic, ridiculous notion.
After all, what’s more beautiful, more powerful, and more sexy than a woman that’s ushering new life into the world? [You and I both know this is a trick question.]

That’s one of the many reasons why I had such an incredible time shooting a maternity boudoir session for Mama C this week; a petite, beautiful little thing who is due in just a few weeks. She showed up ready for anything, proud of the miracle-in-progress indicated by her swollen belly, absolutely glowing from head to toe. We laughed and had the kind of conversations that made her feel less like a newly introduced client and more like an old friend; her energy and the ease with which she moved resulted in some truly stunning photos. And luckily for all of you, she gave me permission to share a few of them.

So without further adieu, I give to you the earth angel that I have personally dubbed the CEO of Hot Moms. Happy scrolling!
